Dr. Kenneth A. Molen graduated from Loyola University Chicago dental school in 1976 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS).  He has practiced general dentistry in New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah.

Dr. Molen is an educator with 37 years of experience.  He taught for nine years in Newport Beach, California in the public school system. He was also worked in the Dental Hygiene Program at Weber State University, as the Supervising Dentist.    

He was the director of the dental hygiene program at UCDH from 2009 to 2014. 

Dr. Molen owns and operates a four dentist private restorative practice in unison with the dental hygiene college.

Dr. Molen has been a leader in the local community in providing free and low-cost dentistry to the underserved population.

Dr. Molen is an ACCSC Certified Accreditation Professional and has been a Team Leader for NATTS and ACCSC.

Professor Molen serves as a permanent Board Member and is the current Director of Dental Hygiene and College President of the Utah College of Dental Hygiene.  He has been or is currently a course instructor/professor for the following core dental hygiene curriculum subjects taught at the Utah College of Dental Hygiene: Dental Morphology, Dental Embryology, Dental Histology, Dental Materials, NBDHE/Board Review, Professional Dental Hygiene IV, and Professional Dental Hygiene I - Expanded Functions.  Professor Molen has also served as a clinical instructor for first and second year dental hygiene students.

Professor Molen has been working in the dental field for nearly three decades.  His first job in the dental field was as a dental laboratory marketing assistant at Snow Mountain Orthodontic Laboratory in 1985.  Since then, he has worked as a dental hygiene instructor/professor, dental hygienist, dental laboratory technician, dental laboratory owner (DentOvations Dental Lab), dental front office manager, pediatric surgical center/O.R. dental assistant, and as a dental hygiene and dental assisting instructor teaching subjects related to dental anatomy, dental materials, dental morphology, dental radiology, dental laboratory concepts, pediatric dental hygiene, and restorative dental procedures.

Professor Molen has produced various dental awareness and continuing education materials.  Some of these are currently being utilized to increase awareness of dental services and emphasize the importance of dental health education among elementary school-aged children. Professor Molen has been the Western Regional Examination Board (WREB) School Coordinator for dental hygiene and anesthesia exams conducted at the Utah College of Dental Hygiene since 2008.   He has also been the site coordinator, and participated in, the Give Kids A Smile Event (GKAS) for Utah County since 2008.  Professor Molen has contributed various copyright free illustrations and how-to guides to the medical/dental education forum as a medical/dental illustrator.  In 2012 Professor Molen was presented with the Instructor of The Year Award from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and in 2015 he was awarded the Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award from ACCSC.

Krista L. McClure, RDH, BSDH

Krista McClure is one of the Founders and permanent Board members of The Utah College of Dental Hygiene.  She has been associated with dentistry for the past 30 years with experience working in private dental practices and dental colleges as a dental assistant, front office manager, and dental educator.  In addition, she has been the Director of Federal Financial Aid in several different colleges.  She founded Careers Unlimited College of Dental Assisting in 1994 and operated that ADA and ACCSCT accredited program until 2007 when she closed the program to concentrate solely on the Utah College of Dental Hygiene.

In her current role, she works on accreditation compliance, supervises the Financial Aid Department, the Admissions Department, and assists in the general administration of faculty, staff, curriculum, Learning Research Center, graduate employment, and class scheduling and calendaring.  Krista works closely with the PAC (Program Advisory Committee) and she oversees the work of four full-time dentists in the restorative section of the College.  Krista McClure is a vital contributor to everything that makes UCDH a great and unique educational institution.
